Terms - draft-2026-06-10
Terms & Conditions
1. The Promoter
1.1 The promoter of all competitions on this website is Hoonies Adrenaline Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16604879, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, trading as Hoonies Competitions ("we", "us", "our"). Our VAT registration number is GB508004235.
1.2 You can contact us at info@hoonies.co.uk or by post at our registered office.
2. These Terms
2.1 These terms and conditions apply to every competition promoted on hooniescompetitions.co.uk (each a "Competition"). By entering a Competition you agree to be bound by these terms, the competition-specific details published on the relevant Competition page, and our Privacy Policy.
2.2 Each version of these terms is dated and numbered. The version you accept at checkout is recorded against your order, and changes to these terms do not apply retrospectively to entries you have already made.
2.3 If anything in these terms conflicts with the details on a Competition page, the Competition page takes priority for that Competition.
3. Nature of Our Competitions
3.1 Our Competitions are prize competitions and free draws operated in accordance with sections 14 and 339 of, and Schedule 2 to, the Gambling Act 2005. They are not lotteries and are not gambling, and we are not licensed or regulated by the Gambling Commission.
3.2 Every Competition requires entrants to correctly answer a qualifying question, and every Competition also offers a free entry route by post with the same chance of winning as a paid entry. See section 6 and our Free Postal Entry page.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Competitions are open to natural persons aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom, except as set out in clause 4.2.
4.2 The following may not enter: our directors, officers and employees; their household members; and any person directly connected with the operation of a Competition or the supply of its prize.
4.3 By entering you confirm that you meet these requirements. We may require proof of identity, age and address before awarding a prize, and a winner who cannot provide it within a reasonable time may be disqualified and the prize re-drawn.
4.4 We may refuse or cancel entries from anyone who has self-excluded from our services, or where we reasonably believe entry limits, fraud controls or these terms have been breached.
5. How to Enter — Paid Route
5.1 To enter online: choose a Competition, correctly answer the qualifying question, choose your number of entries (up to the per-person maximum stated on the Competition page), and pay the entry fee shown.
5.2 Your entry is only complete when payment has been confirmed by our payment provider and your ticket numbers have been allocated. We will confirm your ticket numbers by email and in your account.
5.3 Entries that fail payment, are reversed, or are charged back are invalid and will be removed from the draw.
5.4 The maximum number of entries per person, per Competition, is stated on the Competition page and applies across paid and postal routes combined.
6. How to Enter — Free Postal Route
6.1 You may enter any Competition for free by post. Full instructions, including everything your entry must contain and the postal address, are on our Free Postal Entry page, which forms part of these terms.
6.2 Each valid postal entry received before the closing date is allocated a ticket number in the same draw ledger as paid entries, has the same chance of winning, and is treated identically in the draw. Winners are selected without reference to entry route.
6.3 Each postal entry must be submitted separately. Bulk submissions, photocopies and entries that omit required information or answer the qualifying question incorrectly are invalid. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
7. The Qualifying Question
7.1 Each Competition includes a question. Online entries cannot be completed unless the question is answered correctly. Postal entries that answer the question incorrectly are invalid and will not be entered into the draw.
8. Closing Dates and Changes
8.1 Each Competition page states the closing date and the draw date. The draw will take place on the published draw date whether or not all entries have been sold, unless the Competition is cancelled in accordance with clause 13.2.
8.2 If all available entries are allocated before the closing date, the Competition page may state that it closes early and the draw is brought forward; where so stated, the earlier draw time will be published on the Competition page and announced before the draw.
8.3 We will not extend a closing date or delay a draw because of the level of entries. Closing dates will only ever change where circumstances outside our control make a change unavoidable, and any such change will be prominently announced.
9. The Draw
9.1 Winners are selected at random from the locked final entry list using an auditable random selection process. Before each draw the final list of entries is locked and hashed, and a draw evidence record (including the locked list reference, the selection method and the result) is generated and retained.
9.2 The draw result is final. We will publish the winning ticket number on the Competition page and on our Winners page.
10. Winners — Notification and Publication
10.1 We will contact the winner using the details given at entry within 7 days of the draw, and will make at least three attempts over 14 days. If a winner cannot be reached in that period, does not respond, is ineligible, or fails verification under clause 4.3, we may disqualify the winner and select an alternative winner from the same locked entry list by the same process.
10.2 We publish the surname and county of prize winners, together with the winning ticket number, on our Winners page, and will make this information available to anyone who requests it within three months of the closing date. If you object to your surname and county being published, contact us at info@hoonies.co.uk before the draw; we may still be required to provide winner details to the Advertising Standards Authority.
10.3 Use of a winner's name, image or video in promotional material beyond clause 10.2 will only ever happen with the winner's prior consent.
11. Prizes, Delivery and Cash Alternatives
11.1 The prize for each Competition is described on the Competition page. Prizes are as described, are not transferable and may not be sold.
11.2 Whether a cash alternative is available, and its amount, is stated on each Competition page. Where no cash alternative is stated, none is available.
11.3 We will arrange delivery or handover of the prize to a UK address within the timescale stated on the Competition page, or otherwise within 28 days of winner verification. Delivery timescales for third-party couriers are estimates.
11.4 Any tax, insurance, registration or running costs associated with a prize are the winner's responsibility unless the Competition page states otherwise.
12. Refunds
12.1 Entry fees are payments to participate in a Competition, and once your entry is confirmed there is no right to cancel or to a refund, except as set out in this section or where required by law.
12.2 We will refund paid entries in full if a Competition is cancelled under clause 13.2, or where an entry was invalid through our error.
13. Our Rights
13.1 We may disqualify any entrant who breaches these terms, provides false information, tampers with the entry process, or whom we reasonably suspect of fraud, and may withhold or reclaim prizes accordingly.
13.2 We may cancel a Competition where circumstances outside our reasonable control make it impossible to run fairly or lawfully. If a Competition is cancelled, all paid entries will be refunded in full. We will not cancel a Competition because of the level of entries.
14. Responsible Play
14.1 You can set spending limits, pause your account or self-exclude at any time from your account or by contacting us. See our Responsible Play page. We will not knowingly accept entries from paused or self-excluded accounts.
15. Data Protection
15.1 We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as described in our Privacy Policy, including the winner publication described in clause 10.2.
16. Liability
16.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16.2 Subject to clause 16.1, we are not liable for entries that are lost, delayed or not received due to technical failures or events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability to any entrant in connection with a Competition is limited to the amount that entrant paid to enter it.
17. Complaints
17.1 If you have a complaint, contact info@hoonies.co.uk and we will respond within 14 days. Complaints about our advertising may also be made to the Advertising Standards Authority.
18. General
18.1 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts.
